"FLYING FREE" is a 53'' AMEL powered with a single diesel auxiliary engine. She is a ketch rig bluewater cruising yacht bulit in 1991. The hull shape is of raked stem, round bilge hull with a modified fin keel with winglets. A skeg protected rudder & transom stern. The decks are flush with a cabin trunk. She is a center cockpit with an offset helm wheel station to portside. The storage on this cruising yacht is unbelievable till you see how much and completely amazing throughout the vessel. Amel''s quality is suberb. Known for its stability and seaworthiness in any conditions. This is a rare find in our country to buy an AMEL right here in Southern California. Destinations await. The Amel was built for easy handling with amazing amounts of storage built in on deck so nothing is left outside. She is truly one of a kind.

Look no further then right here for one of the best built cruising yachts on the market. Years of experience brought to you by the builder and designers of AMEL are shown in this listing with its inviting salon & beautiful galley. The forward and rear cabins offer luxurious comforts and plenty of storage, two full heads and showers everything built in with clothes line and privacy curtain. To start in the fore peak and working aft there is a large chain locker that is isolated from the accommodation and a full height water tight collision bulkhead with a water tight door for access into the chain locker. The guest stateroom is just aft and has a large V-berth or can be used as 2 single berths. A work desk is located to port side hung on bulkhead for easy use. A huge hanging locker to starboard across from head and shower is deep with lots of room for clothing and shelves behind for even more storage. Moving in to the salon area with a great U-shaped dinette table to port has liquor built in bottle storage in table and freezer under bench cushions. The smaller settee to starboard has a pilot-berth atop and coverts to a single berth. The navigation center is across the galley to starboard. The galley is U shaped and plenty of counter-top space and lots of above and under cabinet storage. Moving aft through doorway is the third cabin and battery storage under bunk. Located aft of the third cabin is the master cabin with dressing table or work area and large double berth full sit up headroom throughout the cabin and adjoining head and shower stall to port. Another large deep hanging locker is to starboard side of vessel. She seems to go on and on with storage that would make any woman cruising so happy and proud to have all her cookware, clothes, china, linens. And for the captain storage for all the spares you will ever need. AMEL got it right on the seaworthiness and stability and comforts of cruising at home in style with the SUPER MARAMU model.

The galley is U-shaped and located aft of the dining area and is equipped with a stove, double sinks & microwave oven also across from built in fridge is the washer/spin unit front loading. The double deep sinks are a mat finish. Filtered drinking water sprocket and foot pump option is available. There are storage lockers available above and under the counters. The controls for water maker are on wall in the galley area. For a gourmet chef she is sure to delight with loads of counter-top space plus enough storage for dry goods for years.

The masthead ketch rig is designed with a furling jib, main and mizzen. The sails can be adjusted electrically or manually. The mainsheet traveler is located in front of the cockpit area.
