Always considered one of the best charter yachts on the market, MIRABELLA III was recently acquired by new owners and has just emerged from an extensive refit period. Taken back to basics and redesigned, this 41.5 metre sailing yacht has emerged even more beautiful than she was before.
During the refit, MIRABELLA III radar arch and tender crane were removed and the stern was remodelled to include a new transom door which folds down to form a solid swimming platform which can also double up as a unique golf tee. The teak decks are now flush, the hull, superstructure and spars repainted and new windows have been cut into her hull, allowing natural light to flood into the main saloon.
On the technical side, much thought was given to making the yacht more eco-friendly and many of MIRABELLA III systems have been adapted or newly installed to reflect the new owners'' green philosophy. Even the golf balls are biodegradable and break down into fish food after you spend an afternoon practicing your drives off the transom!

Exterior:Rig & sails:Overhauled in Astilleros Mallorca, repainted, V1''s replaced all other shrouds replaced where necessary and re-pressed. New Staysail, all reckman winches and furlers replaced/ and or overhauled where necessary. Vang re-built.Hull and Super Structure:Hull repainted, super structure taken back to core- re fibre glassed and painted, windows installed in hull and approved to class. Allgrip. Under water lighting installed.Deck fixtures and fittings:Complete new Teak deck. All fixtures and fittings replaced.Hatches and windows:All hatches replaced with flush hatches including drainage systems and all windows replaced and resealed.Stations:All replaced to 1 metre height for class approval.Windlasses:Overhauled and warranted by seaway Powel.Other works:New Transom door, crane removed and radar arch removed TV station. Stainless steel and Teak custom made staircase for transom to create swimming platform for guests.Systems:Pumps:All pumps throughout boat replaced for all systems i.e. bilges, fire pumps, water refrigeration, balck and grey water pumps.Tanks:All water and fuel tanks relined and sealed.Plumbing:New plumbing System installed, new sanitary wear, taps, showers, facets etc.Electrics:All electrics renewed including new grounding system and PLC electrical monitoring system installed. New refrigeration pumps installed and friges replaced/renewed where necessary.Machinery:Engine and generators completely overhauled and taken back to block and rebuilt. Water maker overhauled, new Racors, fuel transfer pumps, Hydraulic pumps etc Engine room fully painted and new insulation and sound proofing installed.Hydraulics:All block values replaced, all hydraulic hoses replaced, new pumps installed where necessary. Hundestad overhauled including shaft.Engine controls:New electronic pitch control and engine controls installed. Installed by Helmsman systems.Other notes:Although PLC monitoring system installed allowing full control over all systems throughout boat from each touch screen station. All systems have manual overrides and controls.Interior:Galley:All equipment replaced and upgrade to Meile, galley repaintedPilot house:Modification to layout, new joinery, banquette seating and floor. New hardwood tables and control station.Saloon and Library:All joinery and woodwork replaced with hard woods, panelling shelving. Burl walnut and European walnut. New seating, new fixtures and fittings. Saloon windows installed in hullCorridors and Cabins:All wood replaced where necessary, stained and re vanished accordingly. Port and Starboard twin cabins modified to allow twin or king-size arrangements.Headliners:All headliners replaced throughout entire boat with leather panelling and detailed stitching.Lighting and Media systems:Lutron RF lighting installed throughout boat (up to 50 sequence settings) Apple TV installed in all cabins, saloon and library, controlled by IPADS. Flat screen TVs throughout.Upholstery:All mattresses replaced throughout and all upholstery changed.
