"Tavana" is a masthead rigged ketch. The hull is teak planking over 2-1/4"x2" bent teak frames on 16" centers. Floor timbers are teak.The stem and stern is teak. The bottom is teak carvel plankingThe fasteners are screw type silicon bronze. The decks arecalked and laidteakover plywood. Bronze keel bolts. The external ballast is lead. The laminated spruce masts are both keel stepped. The hull shape is with a double ended full keel and a rudder hung on the aft end of the keel.
