Built in 1969, designed by Paul Anstey, after J boats. The boat has a PHRF rating and a new spinnaker and Kevlar main and Genoa. It has a Dacron Main, an 120, 150 and 180 Genoa and a small storm sail. Power by a 18 hp Yanmar diesel engine, has 600 hrs.

Engines Total Power: 18 hp Tanks Holding: no Accommodations Sleep up to six in a traditional layout. Interior finish is varnished mahogany on off white flat panels with a laid teak oil finished sole. 12 Volt interior lighting with reading lamps at each berth/settee and overhead lamps in galley area. There is an abundance of natural light and ventilation with six large opening ports, two large hatches and two dorades.Starting forward is the forward stateroom featuring a V berth with storage under. Above the berth the hull is lined with varnished spruce ceiling to port which could easily be added to stbd. side. There is access to the anchor locker at the fwd bulkhead.Aft and to port is storage in a locker while opposite is the enclosed head, featuring a manual W>C>, small vanity and sink with fresh water storage.Next aft is the main cabin with settees P & S below which there is storage. There are drawers in the seats back P&S. THere are "PILOT" berths port and stbd. that may also be used as deep storage shelves. At the fwd bulkhead there is a solid fuel cabin heater.Futhest aft is the galley featuring a Force 10 three burner propane stove with oven, well insulated ice box and good counter space for a yacht of this era. SAILS & RIGGING Deck stepped Hall aluminum single spreader rig with 1x19 stainless steel wire rigging. The rig was nuilt for the boat in 1989. All Harken blocks for running rigging, there are newer than rig also the primary are replacements since the yacht was builtNew Spinacker New Kevlar main 276 sq. ft- Dacron main180 Genoa 411 sq.ft150 Genoa 262 sq.ft120 Genoa 163 sq.ft.The Strider was designed to be ideal for short handed sailing. Owner reports that she is very well balanced and will literally sail herself upwind in light to moderate conditions with 180% Genoa.

HULL & DECK Solid fiberglass hull and deck with integral ballast. Hull was Awlgripped Flag Blue in 1989 with a gold cove stripe and fire engine red boot top. Bottom is finished in blue hard epoxy antifouling paint.Large cockpit with main traveller just forward of the wheel and binnacle maker her an ideal boat for shorthanded sailing. There are sail/storage lockers P & S and a small lazarette aft.The hull carries up beyond the deck edge forming a low bulwark which is capped with teak finished with cetol as are the grab rails. Two tone decks with light gray painted non-skid on white. Stainless steel double bow and stern rails and stanchions with double lifelines with gates P& S.
